Hello and Welcome!
Hi there. I’m Grace, and if you’re reading this, chances are we formerly have a commodity in common — a deep love for good food and the joy it brings to those we partake in it with. I’m 39 years old, living just outside Asheville, North Carolina, girdled by mountains, planter’s requests, and a community that truly appreciates what it means to eat well and live completely.
My foremost food memory is standing on a rustic coprolite in my grandmother’s kitchen in pastoral Ohio, flour dust in the air, my bitsy fritters trying( and failing) to plat challah dough as she did so painlessly, like it was an alternate nature. That kitchen was my playground, where I learned that cuisine isn’t just about feeding people; it’s about making them feel comfortable, loved, watched, and at home.
After many twists and turns, I started in journalism and ran a café with my family for a while. I ultimately gave in to the call of the kitchen full-time. I trained at an original culinary academy, not because I wanted to become the next television cook, but because I wanted to know my tools, admire my constituents, and bring further creativity to my reflections. I’ve since spent time cooking, tutoring, writing fashions, and hosting pop-up feasts in my vicinity that occasionally feel more like poetry readings than supper.

My style is a bit miscellaneous, I’ll admit. I love rustic Southern dishes with a fresh, ultramodern twist — think peach cobbler with a miso oat deteriorate or hoarse collard flora finished with a splash of yuzu. I lean into the seasons, hear what the request offers, and try not to force anything onto the plate that isn’t ready to be there. I’ve also had a plenitude of duds ( ask me about the pumpkin gnocchi disaster 2016). Still, every cuisine failure has a commodity to educate us, especially when we’re stalwart enough to laugh and try again.
Cuisine is a discussion — a slow, succulent way of getting to know the world and ourselves. Whether you’re a seasoned food nut or just starting to trust your instincts in the kitchen, I hope my trip inspires you to experiment, savor, and, most of all, keep participating in your own story through food. Pull up a president.
Pull up a chair. Let’s cook something extraordinary together.
Warmly,
Grace 🌟
